When new people come into a service they need to develop new friends. People aren’t looking necessarily for a friendly church, even though this helps, but ultimately friends. When you see a new face coming into the sanctuary we are asking you go and speak to the person, but not just speak but engage them in conversation. Remember your goal is to develop a new friendship. It can be done in many ways. Here are a few suggestions: 1. Get the person to talk about themselves, their history, experiences in the church setting, likes and dislikes. 2. When comfortable ask if you can sit with them. 3. Ask if you can contact them the next week via call/text, FB ect. 4. Ask them when they warm up to you, if there is anything that you can pray with them. 3. Provide that information to someone in 7 minute ministry. 4. With the person’s permission, hang around them and introduce them to others while they are on site. 5. Simply just exude the love of Jesus to this new face!

Please ask other churches to get involved in this prayer warfare. Have them sign up at: reponse@rc-hickory.org leaving the church name and email address so we can send them a weekly update, until COVID is irradiated in the counties of Catawba, Burke, Caldwell, Alexander, Iredell, Lincoln and Cleveland. KILLING COVID IN OUR COUNTIES 12-19-2021 Declare: Lord, we trust in You to deliver the people of our counties and heal all those infected and affected by Covid/variants. Forgive us for any distractions, lack of compassion or unbelief that have kept us from completing our assignment to kill Covid/variants in our territory. We take up the power of agreement with Your Word and each other to destroy all causes and effects of Covid/variants in Catawba, Burke, Alexander, Caldwell, Iredell, Lincoln and Cleveland counties. We take up the mantels of compassion, focus and belief that this is Finished in the Name of Jesus. According to Jude 1:20 we will build up our most Holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit KINGDOM AUTHORITY: Is 53:4-5 Surely our griefs (sicknesses) He Himself bore, And our sorrows (pains) He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed. Jeremiah 33:6 'Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them; Ps 103:2-3, Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits, Who pardons all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases. Mt. 4:23, Jesus: healed every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people. Declare: We call out to every hospital and home in Catawba, Burke, Caldwell, Iredell, Lincoln, Alexander and Cleveland counties and say to every Covid/variant patient be healed in the Name of Jesus. We speak to Covid/variants and say; get out of our counties, be removed from every hospital and home, we cancel your assignment. We call every hospital and home Covid and variant free NOW in the Name of Jesus. No more sickness from Covid/variants in our counties, for by the stripes of Jesus we are all healed. The name Covid/variants must now bow to the Name of Jesus and obey what we have commanded. KINGDOM OF GOD PROTECTION: 2 Sam 22:38-40 "I pursued my enemies and destroyed them, And I did not turn back until they were consumed. "And I have devoured them and shattered them, so that they did not rise; And they fell under my feet. "For You have girded me with strength for battle; You have subdued under me those who rose up against me. Declare: Absolutely nothing will harm me as I walk in my God given authority, therefore I forbid any backlash, retaliation, transference of spirits or retribution from affecting or coming against me, my family, businesses, hospitals and churches in the Name of Jesus. Thank you Father for Your Psalms 91 protection over us all. By agreement in prayer, we decree Covid/variants are banished from our counties forever! Mat 18:19 "Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven.

Dear Baptismal Candidate: Praise the Lord of Salvation, Jesus Christ! Congratulations for making the best decision of your life in accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior and your Lord. We want to encourage you to take the next step in your new life in Christ and, according to His instruction in Acts 2:38, "Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins…” Just as Christ died and was resurrected from the dead, through water baptism, we die to sin and are raised to life in Christ Jesus (Rom. 6:4-10). Because you die to sin, it is no longer you that lives, but Christ the Savior lives in you (Gal. 2:20). Therefore, you are an ambassador for Jesus; a minister of reconciliation (2 Cor. 5:19-20); so because Jesus set the example for us in Mt. 3:13-17, we should also follow his example and do as he did (Eph. 5:1). Baptism is a pledge of a good conscience toward God. It symbolizes the washing away of the old sinful man; and symbolically the new man is made alive with Jesus. As Jesus set the example by His baptism, we follow in His steps by our baptism. You may be rededicating your life to the Lord and may have been baptized in the past. You can be re-baptized as a sign of returning to the Lord and recommitment to Him. As God called you into the Body of Christ, we encourage you to stay in the body. In John 15:1-8, Jesus tells us to remain in Him, so we don't wither away and die. Outside of the Body there is death, but in the Body there is life, joy and peace. We welcome you into the Body of Christ. May your new life in Christ Jesus be richly blessed (Rom.10:12). Baptism is scheduled on: Sunday, August 29, 2021 You are encouraged to invite family and friends to share in this special day. Note: Please be in touch with the person you want to baptize you to insure they will be present. Wear something comfortable. (Example: jeans, dark T-shirt, flip flops) You will need to bring a change of clothes and a towel (also a hairdryer if desired). Remember this is a full immersion baptism, so your hair will get wet. Note: Ladies: No white T-shirts, No shorts Men: No tank tops Important: We will meet in the second room on the left of the main hall promptly at 9:30 AM on the day of your baptism. Please make every effort to be on time and ask the person who will baptize you to meet with you there also. A minister or elder will meet and talk with you briefly. Please call the church office (828) 324-5372 or Nancy Pressly (828) 612-7116 to confirm your participation in this baptism or if you will be unable to be present. If you have questions, you may call the above numbers. This is a very special time in the life of a believer and we look forward to sharing it with you. In His Service, Apostle Steve M Deitz, Pastor We at RFC, with all the host of heaven, rejoice in your salvation. Life has just begun for you and we would like to rejoice with you in your next step of faith - water baptism. Baptism is a pledge of a good conscience toward God.
